A look Back
Here's a look back at an old post, and a celebration of the Mardi Gras season and upcoming festivities. I'm sad I'm not able to take part in the fun, but my King Cake is on the way from Berrytown in Ponchatoula, so I'll enjoy what I can from NC!
Zulu 2009
So this Mardi Gras i was fortunate enough to be a part of the Krewe of Young Warriors in the Zulu Parade on Mardi Gras Day in New Orleans. It was so much fun!! Thanks to everyone who made it happen, and i look forward to taking part again! Here is a clip on YouTube of our float.
Look at 0:39, i'm the one at the top of the second section of the float, dancing, front passenger side behind the captain morgan-looking thing.
here are a few more pics of the day...

View from my spot of the first turn down Jackson St, the start of the parade. Look at all my people out for Zulu!

On Canal St, heart of the French Quarter!

Me and my riding partner, we had so much fun jammin on the top!

me at the end of the parade, i'm exhausted but i had a blast! Happy 100th Birthday Zulu!!
